Research Focus

  • Adipose tissue is a complex, essential, and highly active metabolic and endocrine organ. Precise regulation of its function prevents development of various disorders like obesity, insulin resistance, diabetes and cardiovascular disorders.
  • My research interest is to assess the role of genetic polymorphisms in different adipokines and its contribution in progression of coronary artery disease.
  • This will help in understanding the pathophysiology of the disease process at molecular level and may help in establishing a new rational of treatment and precautions taken by the identified high risk patients reducing the treatment cost and surgical complications.

Keywords
